An emulation of photographer Justine Kurland’s “Girl Pictures”. Kurland is from New York and is known for her idealistic American landscapes and their human counterparts. I am basing my project on her project Girl Pictures, which depicts girls around the united states in an idyllic natural landscape. She photographs the raw authenticity of teenagehood and their relationship with each other. I chose her work because I immediately connected with her beautifully detailed images of vivid landscapes. I connected with the innocence of teenage life but also the complexities of it as well.
